About Health Screenings
When it comes to numbers like your car’s mileage, the value of your home, or your bank balance, a good estimate easily comes to mind. Can you say the same for your health “numbers?” Numbers like your blood pressure and cholesterol, help you understand what you are doing well and when you may be at risk for a health condition. It’s important to take time to learn more about your health, so schedule an LM HealthWorks Health Screening. It’s free, convenient and provides immediate results.
Health screenings may help detect health concerns early – perhaps before symptoms of a more serious health condition develops. Early detection can lead to early treatment and more favorable health outcomes. Regular readings are equally important for those chronic conditions as part of a condition management regimen.
About the LM HealthWorks Health Screening Program
Continuing its support of health and wellness, LM HealthWorks has partnered with an external vendor to offer these free, confidential health screenings at sites across the company.
Your free health screening will include:
*Fasting is recommended but not required to participate in the health screening, but some measurements will be most accurate when no food or beverages other than water are consumed in the 10 hours prior to your screening. If fasting, please continue medication as prescribed. A finger stick test, which takes a spot of blood, is required for these tests. Please note that drinking water is extremely important to prevent dehydration which may cause inaccurate results and make blood collection more difficult.
Eligibility
Domestic, benefits eligible, Lockheed Martin employees, regardless of health plan coverage are eligible (i.e., you don’t have to be a member of the LM HealthWorks Plan to participate). Contractors, customers, casual employees, dependents and retirees are not eligible.
Registration
Schedule an appointment as early as possible - at least a week before an event. This will not only ensure appropriate staffing and supplies, but also will help minimize event cancellations. The screening and results may take up to 30 minutes. Walk-ins may be able to be accommodated if possible, but cannot be guaranteed.

Can’t Attend?
Employees may attend any LM HealthWorks Health Screening, assuming there are no security restrictions. When you make your appointment, indicate that you are planning to go to a facility other than your daily office. LM HealthWorks also suggests that you let the POC know to ensure that you are entered into the site’s security system.
You may also visit an LM HealthWorks Wellness Center for various screening and other wellness services. To determine if a Wellness Center is near you, click here. Appointments for Wellness Center visits are appreciated.
You may also visit your health care provider to receive a health screening as part of a preventive care exam. As part of the LM HealthWorks Plan, eligible preventive care, including lab fees associated with routine physicals, is typically covered at 100%, deductible waived. For more information about eligible services, view the LM HealthWorks Plan Summary Plan Description. You can find in-network LM HealthWorks Plan providers in your area by using DocFind®, the online provider directory.
Confidentiality
No identifiable information will be shared with Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin will only receive de-identified, aggregate data to help develop and introduce effective programs that meet the population’s needs. LM HealthWorks Plan participants may receive a phone call from an LM HealthWorks Plan health coach if their results indicate that they are eligible to participate in a health coaching program (e.g. hypertension, high cholesterol). Participation in any additional programs is voluntary and an opt out is available on the health screening consent form to prevent your health screening information from being sent to the LM HealthWorks Plan.
